Virtual Channel Driver
Description
In Citrix environments, in addition to classic COM port mapping, there's a new, modern way to loop a local signature pad to the server.
This technology is easier to administrate and also offers significantly better performance than the vCOM connection.
Technical Process
The Virtual Channel driver is installed on the (thin-)client. After configuration, the signotec signature pads communicate via the set up virtual channel.
As soon as the Citrix session is started, the virtual channel is also initialized.
All data between signature pad and software is compressed and sent via this virtual channel.
This technology reduces traffic and reduces latencies by a multiple.
Demo Version
The Virtual Channel driver is chargeable. There are versions for Windows and Linux.
Below you will find the current documentation as well as the trial version for Windows.
